Zachary Ugolnik is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Religion at Columbia University. He primarily focuses on early and medieval Christianity in the eastern Mediterranean and Near East, though his research also considers Orthodox Christianity through the modern period. Zachary also works on the interaction between Christianity and Islam and comparing ancient and modern theories of subjectivity.
