About

Byungkyu Lee is a PhD student in Sociology at Columbia University. His interest is to unfold the underlying temporal/relational dynamics through which status hierarchy emerges, racial segregation is reinforced, and group identity becomes salient. He also seeks to understand social contagion process using online experiments and causal inference. One of his current researches is to show the emergence of an ideal structure for terrorist networks and to demonstrate the difficulty of studying such hidden networks using agent-based simulation. He received his BA in Business Administration and his MA in Sociology from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.
