Samuel Fury Childs Daly studies the Nigerian Civil War (1967-1970) and the history of Nigerian citizenship. His B.A. is from Columbia College, where he wrote a thesis on the 1964 Zanzibar Revolution. He has master's degrees from the School of Oriental and African Studies and the University of Cambridge, where he was a Marshall Scholar. Areas of previous research include crime and policing in early colonial Abeokuta, and the sexual politics of boxing in 1960s Lagos.
